What a great show last night at the PAC.... Jim Brickman's Beautiful World Juggernaut rolled into Appleton and our favorite romantic pianist (and Sunday morning DJ on WROE) really made Barb and me and all of our WROE winners feel so welcome.

The 2nd high point of the night for me was when in the middle of the show... Jim called himself "Chuck Lakefield's fill in on Sunday mornings"... LOL!!

The High point was my annual hug from Anne Cochran! Whoo hoo!!

WHERE DO YOU GET REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR A 30 YEAR OLD HEATING SYSTEM?? I CHECKED THE BACK OF THE THERMOSTAT COVER AND FOUND THE COMPANY ON THE WEB... AND TOLD THEM OF MY PROBLEM:

I have your Model 1D22 system in our home... one of the thermostat covers fell off, and our dog thought it would make a great chew toy.

I realize this system is older (but still working great)... do you have a replacement cover for this?

Had a great time at the Kids From Wisconsin free show at the Leach Amphiteatre in Oshkosh on Sunday... the show was free thanks to Festival Foods.

Huge thanks to the Festival family for inviting Barb and me to their United Way celebration along the back lawn at the Leach.

This is the picture that will be appearing on billboards around the valley... to promote the Fox Valley Humane Association's Tailgate Party - September 17th at a new location this year... the Grand Meridian!

This is Buddy, our 2 year old "Box Of Rocks" and Ellie, our 3 year old puppy mill Cockapoo... both of them adopted from the FVHA! 

Debbie Daanen and her staff did a wonderful job of dealing with Buddy, who hates to sit still (like his dad) and she even got pictures of us with Barb and Damien (our German Shepard)... I'll share those pics with you when I get them!

UPDATE!!!

Ellie is now officially a Lakefield!! We adopted her (thanks Lisa) yesterday after Barb and I finished playing and interacting with the other Puppy Mill Dogs at the Fox Valley Humane Association! Damien and Buddy APPROVE! :)

By popular demand... here's the latest picture of Ellie. She is a puppy mill dog, that Barb and I are fostering. Buddy, Damien and my mom-in-law love her as much as we do... so we will be adopting her soon. She is such a good girl, and after the crappy life she had at the puppy mill, she really loves her new (can you say Princess) life! :)
